Mentoring Moments

PhotoHappy Holidays

from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area has been very busy in 2011. With almost 200 matches and 39 on the waiting list, we congratulate our staff for a job well done. We greatly appreciate all our Bigs for the time, enthusiasm and caring they give to their Littles. We also could not be successful without the support of our Board of Directors. We also want to thank the members of our community who donate the funds to insure our programs will continue and expand. Please continue to support your Big Brothers Big Sisters. Should you wish to make a holiday gift, please send your check or donate online at

By continuing to follow our Mission: Provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever, we provide positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of the young people in our community. We are entering our 39th year and are excited about the opportunities to help more young people in 2012.

Events & Activities

This year, in addition to our monthly programs and activities, we had a Friends of Mentoring Campaign that kicked off at Kickback Jack's in June, which was also the launch of our exciting, user-friendly website, We had our first Big Night Out Gala fundraiser on November 4 at the beautiful Schoolfield Museum and Cultural Center.
